
Vegetarian Asparagus Carbonara
What You Need
- 1 bunch Michigan asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 tablespoon honey

What You Do
Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
Prepare the asparagus: Wash and trim the woody ends off the asparagus.
Season: In a large bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Add cheese and honey: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the asparagus and drizzle with honey. Toss again to evenly coat.
Air fry: Place the seasoned asparagus in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Air fry at 390°F for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Serve: Remove from the air fryer and serve warm. Add a little extra Parmesan on top if desired.
