Garlic Butter Steak with Mushrooms & Asparagus

What You Need

For the Mushrooms & Asparagus

  • 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1lb Michigan Asparagus spears
  • 1-2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Steak

  • 1lb steak, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Oil for cooking

What You Do

Preheat oven to 400°F. Place the mushrooms and asparagus on a baking sheet. Toss with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until asparagus is tender.

While the vegetables are cooking, heat some oil (just enough to coat the bottom of the pan) over medium/high heat.

Add the steak into the pan and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Don’t overcrowd the pan. Cook in batches if necessary.

Then flip the steak and add the butter and minced garlic into the pan. Cook the steak for about 2 more minutes, stirring frequently to make sure its coated with butter. Serve immediately with warm asparagus and mushrooms.
