Instant Pot Balsamic Garlic Glazed Asparagus
What You Need
- 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 1 cup water
- Salt, optional
For balsamic garlic glaze:
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp butter

What You Do
Prepare the glaze before cooking the asparagus. In a saucepan (or you can use the saute function on the instant pot), simmer vinegar with soy sauce, and sugar. After about 5 minutes the glaze will become thick. Stir in the butter, cover, and remove from heat to keep warm.
Place water in the bottom of the instant pot.
Set pressure to low. Place the lid on the asparagus and seal.
Set the cooking time to 0 minutes. The instant pot will take a few minutes to come to pressure and that is all that is needed to cook the asparagus.
Turn the sealed dial to venting to initial a quick pressure release. Once complete, remove the lid and place asparagus on a plate. Sprinkle with salt, if desired, and drizzle the glaze over the top of the asparagus.
Serve.
